Amy is the one who started rescuing donkeys as a backyard hobby many years ago.  She will quickly admit that she never envisioned the rescue becoming what it is today.  Amy is the cautious one, the voice of reason, and is the balance to her husband Mark's overly ambitious ways.

Amy works 7 days a week at the rescue and still finds the time to be a great Mom to her 2 boys, Josh and Jake, and her three older step-children and two granddaughters.

Amy might be small in stature but she enjoys her position as the only person in the world that Mark is afraid of.  Amy lives by the mantra "Do No Harm" and is a strict vegetarian.
